Taveuni Resorts

THE resorts in Taveuni receive excellent hotel reviews. They are especially suitable for romantic honeymoons, tropical weddings or adventure holidays. The island is found in Fiji's northern island region and the map above includes resorts on Qamea island and Matangi island, both of which offer short boat transfers for their guests arriving at the Matei airstrip on the northern point of Taveuni (pictured at top). Most resorts and holiday accommodation is found around Matei and down the northern coastline, where wonderful views of ocean, islands and sunsets can be enjoyed.

Taveuni island is blessed with natural beauty, from a high central rainforest-covered ridge that includes some of Fiji's highest peaks, sloping gently downwards to the coastline. Both black as well as white sand beaches can be found on Taveuni. The waters surrounding the island are rich in marine life and coral reefs. Enjoy scuba diving, snorkelling, fishing, hiking to waterfalls and village trips.
